For maternity leave and benefit to be extended

Extend the COVID-19 enhanced Illness Benefit payment of €350 per week to those unable to work during the COVID-19 pandemic due to their ‘extremely medically vulnerable’ status, or to make special alternative arrangements so that people advised to cocoon who cannot work from home…

That the PUP/enhanced illness benefit continue to be paid, and/or extended to all high-risk people with disabilities and the family members who share a household with them, who cannot return to work due to their health status and the need to follow public health guidance.

Repeal of the legislative provision for the pension age to rise to 67 in 2021 and 68 in 2028.

Clarity on an extension to the temporary wage subsidy scheme beyond 12 weeks

The provision of a special emergency social welfare payment, at the level of Job Seekers Benefit, for a two-week period from the first day of employment stoppage due to COVID-19, waiving the qualifying period

Changes to this scheme to improve its effectiveness in helping vulnerable firms to stay afloat and keeping their employees engaged, whilst protecting the incomes of individuals

To raise our concerns, clarify the meaning of certain provisions, and ensure that the legislation is fit for purpose

Women returning from maternity leave will have access to Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme

Suggested amendments to certain provisions of the Emergency Provisions in the Public Interest Bill to reflect the true intent of the temporary wage subsidy scheme
