Ensure that the NPWS are adequately resourced and supported to fulfil their vital functions of protecting and enhancing biodiversity

For the NPWS to sit within the Department of Climate Action, Communication Networks and Transport::The appointment of a Junior Minister with responsibility for water (the natural water environment)

That National Parks and Wildlife Service would receive a strong position within government so that it can be enabled to address the biodiversity crisis

The EU Biodiversity Strategy has identified that €20bn is needed annually to protect and restore biodiversity but this is not reflected in the EU Budget so we are calling for this to be provided so that Ireland can address the Dáil declared biodiversity emergency.

That Ireland supports the ban on lead ammunition in order to protect waterbirds, birds of prey and people from the devastating impacts of lead shot.

To prevent the move of natural heritage functions during the Departmental Re-shuffle, and to re-unite natural heitage, water and the environmental functions in the one Department.

To prioritise the reform of the NPWS;::To withdraw support for the Derryadd Wind Farm in co. Longford;::To proritise the reform of forestry over changes to legislation;::To prioritise the creation of Marine Protected Areas and an end to overfishing
